Job Qualifications and Educational Requirement:

o Minimum of a 4-year degree

o 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.

o Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience preferably managing through subordinate managers. Mastery over subject area, ability to make significant contributions to the company

o Proven experience on project planning and costing, process design and re-engineering, large project management

o Certification in PMP / LEAN or similar methodology is an advantage

o Experience leading large cross-function teams and driving consensus among colleagues; ability to lead, motivate, influence, and drive to results in a highly-matrixed environment.

o Mastery skill level of Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio and MS Project management tools.

Position Summary:

This role is responsible for leading a team of project management professionals accountable for identifying, planning, executing, monitoring, and managing activities of process improvement and implementations using industry best practices and company standards. The Senior Manager ensures that work activities are properly defined, planned, and executed to achieve desired outcomes that are in alignment with business strategy and provide measurable benefits. The successful candidate will initially direct large project implementations and functionally manage project teams, and coordinate with local business and other company operational teams.


Project Management Responsibilities

o Owns the engagement with the business to define and align the detailed planning, and lead the execution of the final plan for all varieties of projects;

o Applies current industry PM practices to achieve the desired outcome: LEAN, etc.

o Proactively manages milestones and deliverables; drives visibility and accountability throughout the team.

o Provides exceptional project management and business-centric collaboration skills and is regarded as a thought leader and process expert.

o Drives delivery on project milestones and ensures completion of objectives (ensures follow-up, defines mitigation plans, identifies potential risks) using well-defined project methodology approach and clear communication.

Team Management & Development

o Contribute to strategic planning and achievement of the team goals by developing initiatives and solutions to improve application quality, process and scalability in a resource (people and systems) effective manner

o Demonstrates the ability to provide direction to staff, including the ability to understand and drive strategic

direction, ensure accurate and complete detail on process and program creation and ensure positive P&L impact

o Promote the consistent application of project management methodologies, producing high-performing associates, who can be relied upon to rapidly execute corporate initiatives.

o Identify and provide training opportunities to further strengthen competencies in support of strategic plans

o Ensure regular communication and team meetings, one-to-one updates, etc.

o Provides input into hiring, disciplinary issues and firing.

Business Process Transformation

o Provide strategic and thought leadership to team, peers and stakeholders in the field of expertise

o Drives new ways of thinking to challenge current processes to drive greater improvements and benefits: assesses tools, process change/re-engineering, automation opportunities

o Leads efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the GBS community and build strong working relationships throughout the organization (i.e., local business operations, LEAN organization, corporate BPM team).

o Work closely with other GBS teams to ensure alignment in project deliverables and outcomes

o Develop and maintain strong partnerships with relevant business units, functional areas and key staff

o Uses business acumen and knowledge to look beyond the current scope of a project to understand the broader picture and determine if findings and proposed solutions can be leveraged or have other dependencies.
