Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares/Cooks food according to orders; ensures that handling of food well exceeds standards of quality, hygiene and sanitation.
Ensures proper preparation of food and observes serving time to be done efficiently so as not to keep customers waiting unnecessarily
Sees to it that the kitchen is kept organized and functional including the proper placement of things (plates, glasses, and utensils), supplies, equipment, various accessories, etc.
Ensures the proper storing of food and supplies in the kitchen and observes cleanliness at all time.
At the end of each shift, responsible in the inventory of food stocks, condiments, ingredients, and supplies and recommends purchases of replenishments, when necessary.
At the end or beginning of each day, conducts inspection of the kitchen area and ensures that everything is in their proper location and in perfect working condition. Reports to the Supervisor if any concern needs immediate attention or action.
Monitors use of food, ingredients, condiments and supplies so as not to create wastage, if and when necessary recommend purchase of critical items.
For purchases made - Practices due diligence when checking quality of food, ingredients, condiments and supplies delivered and reports immediately to the supervisor for any modification/changes.
Maintains over-all order and cleanliness of the kitchen facilities, equipment, fixtures and accessories, and flooring.
Ensures proper segregation and proper disposal of garbage
